In Māori, “KORU” symbolizes new life, spiritual growth, regeneration and progress. Every piece of jewelry is also a piece of wisdom, it encapsulates a philosophy of life. The deeper purpose of the piece you're wearing is to remind you a simple, yet vital truth in life: All we have is now.

Passionate about art & design, Bianca Badescu found a way to express her creativity by painting and playing with jewelry in her free time. After a near to death experience and coming back from a coma, her past years were about rebuilding herself and her life. She started attending Assamblage, The Institute of Art & Design in order to study different techniques used in creating contemporary jewelry. She fell in love with designing and handcrafting jewelry, fulfilling her desire of having absolute freedom to manifest her creativity. That’s how KORU Concept was born.

One day I was hit by a car that almost killed me and my whole life changed out of the blue, in an instant. It was a long way to my recovery, filled with suffering, small and big fights with pain and disabilities, questions about the meaning of life, introspection, and revelations. Making jewelry became a part of my healing process, a way of embracing a new perspective on life and finding a purpose, accepting and celebrating the passing of time, changes and experiences that come with this and the marks it leaves behind.

Every jewelry from this collection is made once, meaning that the design will not be replicated in different sizes. There is only one piece available for each model listed here.

KORU Small Series is the line of handcrafted jewelry that is produced in limited numbers and made to order. Every piece is one-of-a-kind, no two pieces are exactly the same so each one is remarkably and inimitable. Some pieces can be customized.

I highly recommend to get your ring size in a jewelry store near you. If you don't have access to that, use this method:

Take a string or preferably a strip of paper 3mm wide and 100mm long.

Wrap it around the base of your finger making sure it fits, but isn’t too tight.

Tape the paper where it overlaps. Try to put it on and off few times. Start all over if its not alright. It has to be perfect. Measure the length.

When taking your finger measurement, make sure you do it a few times over a period of a day. Your fingers react to warm and cold environment. Keep in mind that wider rings need bigger size, wider the bottom of the ring, bigger the size you need.

It is important to be sure of your sizing before placing your order. I do not not accept returns on rings that are the wrong size due to customer error or a change of mind.

To identify your bracelet size, I recommend measuring your wrist closely with a tape measure.

Shipping is free within Romania for all orders over 200 euro. For orders outside Romania, , the buyer is responsible for paying the shipping & additional costs such as duties and taxes.

Each KORU piece is handcrafted in my atelier. If you aren’t happy with your purchase please contact me within 14 days of receiving your jewelry. I will accept items that haven’t been worn or damaged.
